To enter the house you must first pass a narrow door which pierces the wall, a bulwark against evil spirits. This wall is more “magical” protection than physical. The front door is generally without a door but located at the back of the entrance cutting the path is a section of wall (aling-aling), its function is to block the way to evil spirits who know only go straight.
